CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns have stated emphatically that they want defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to remain with the team - either as head coach or coordinator — and their second interview with him on Monday undoubtedly went a long way towards sorting that out.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz had a second interview with the Cleveland Browns for their head coaching vacancy on Monday. Schwartz is the first candidate to have a second interview with the Browns.

The Ravens will interview Joe Brady this week, Tom Pelisero of NFL Media reports. The Bills’ offensive coordinator already had a virtual interview with Baltimore. Brady also had interviews with the Falcons and the Raiders.

The Browns want to meet with rising Rams assistant Nate Scheelhaase for a 2nd time, but they'll need to wait a week to do so.

The Arizona Cardinals are moving forward with a second interview of 49ers DC Robert Saleh, as they look to land their next head coach.

Schwartz also worked for the Browns in the mid-90s and has head coaching experience from his stint with the Lions. He went 29-51 while working in Detroit from 2009-2013. The Brown

Pittsburgh has spoken with a number of candidates already, and that includes Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver. A follow-up is now being arranged. Weaver is expected to interview in person with Miami this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
